IV Torneo Villa de Molina

Over several days, teams of different ages compete in a professional setting, with multiple rinks in play, federated referees and results available online in real time. Everything is designed so players can enjoy hockey, their team and the IV Torneo Villa de Molina experience.

The tournament is organized by categories and competition phases.

Categories

• U8 Pre-benjamín: Players born on or after 1 January 2017 and younger
• U10 Benjamín: Players born between 1 January 2015 and 31 December 2016
• U12 Alevín: Players born between 1 January 2013 and 31 December 2014
• U14 Infantil: Players born between 1 January 2011 and 31 December 2012
• U16 Juvenil: Players born between 1 January 2009 and 31 December 2010
• Senior Absolute: Players born in 2010 or earlier
• Women: Female players born in 2012 or earlier

Each team must register in the category matching its players’ ages or in the immediately higher one.

Exceptions: Girls born in 2012 or earlier may register in U14 and U16 + Women, or in U16 and Senior + Women.

Subject to the above, the same player may register in two categories, for the same team or different teams; girls may register in three. No player may register in two or three identical categories for different teams.

Competition structure:

The competition structure will be defined once registration closes, when we know the total number of teams and participants, so we can organize the competition in the best possible way.

• Group stage: number of groups, teams per group and matches
• Final stage: knockouts, quarter-finals, semi-finals, finals, etc.

Base regulations:
The current RFEP inline hockey rules apply, except for specific tournament adjustments stated in this dossier and defined after registration closes.

1. Match duration

• Each match has 2 periods of 15 minutes running time.
• Gold-medal finals are played entirely with stopped clock.

2. Warm-up and breaks

• Teams have 3 minutes of warm-up before each match.
• There is a 3-minute break between periods.

3. Timeouts

• Each team has one timeout per match (not one per period).

Players, coaches, staff and companions are expected to behave respectfully toward officials, opponents, organizers and facilities.

Unsporting conduct, aggressive protests or behaviour that endangers the atmosphere or safety will not be tolerated. The tournament Discipline Committee ensures rules, sportsmanship and respect among all participants.

The organization may apply sporting and disciplinary sanctions according to severity:

• Warning
• Sporting sanction
• Temporary expulsion
• Expulsion from the match
• Expulsion from the tournament

IV Torneo Villa de Molina is held in facilities prepared for an inline hockey tournament with several simultaneous rinks, spacious changing rooms and rest areas for teams and families.

• Several playing surfaces for a smooth, organized competition.
• Functional changing rooms with showers and enough space for all teams.
• Approved playing surface for optimal conditions, safety and performance.
• Identifiable staff throughout the tournament to help with any need.
• Shared spaces designed for time between matches.
